What does meditation do for us?

Meditation takes us on an inward journey. The pathway leads to inner peace and happiness because it helps us to know ourselves. Along the way it helps us to release mental and emotional baggage, as well as belief systems and mindsets that no longer serve us. It clears past trauma, as well, from the body-mind.
A regular mindfulness meditation practice purifies the mind. A pure mind is more joyful, less reactive and has access to the inner well of peace that we all have.
